As the load-bearing equipment of crane, steel wire rope plays an important role in the safety of crane. This paper will analyze the classification, structure and inspection of the wire rope commonly used by cranes.In order to be able to better use the wire rope correctly, extend the service life of the wire rope, reduce the failure and damage of the wire rope. Regular safety inspection can not only save the operation cost of crane economically, but also eliminate the safety accident caused by the failure of wire rope in time.
Classification of wire rope:
According to the surface state: smooth wire rope, galvanized wire rope, coated plastic wire rope
According to the laying characteristics: point contact wire rope, line contact wire rope, surface contact wire rope
Divide by twist: right reciprocal twist, left reciprocal twist, right reciprocal twist, left reciprocal twist
According to the structure: single lay wire rope, double lay multi-strand wire rope, three lay wire rope
Two Crane wire rope:

Derricking wire rope: 20mm 6*69FI+IWRC-1960 (Suitable for FUWA Crawler Crane QUY80,QUY150A)
Due to the relatively compact lug mechanism of crawler crane, the winding diameter ratio (D/ d) is too small, and the number of pulley through more, the requirements of good flexibility of the wire rope, fatigue and wear resistance.
Crane safety inspection:
♦Check whether the connection between the wire rope and the drum is firm and reliable.
♦Check the wear and breakage of steel wire on the side of the wire rope close to the pulley groove.
♦Check whether the lubrication condition of the wire rope is in good condition
♦Check whether there are more than 2 turns of wire rope left on the reel when the hook is lowered to the lowest position.
